Stormblood: Raid and Trial Story Quests
Planned content:
- Some Omega scenes eventually
The Omega questline is largely the same as in English, with a few key differences.
- German Omega is referred to with female pronouns rather than object pronouns. Because of how grammatical gender works in German it's pretty normal to refer to objects with male or female pronouns depending on whether it's grammatically a masculine or feminine word, so this doesn't necessarily read as a statement about Omega's gender. However, the word Omega is genderless in German and would warrant using object pronouns, so it's also not not a statement about Omega's gender. Several words related to robots and machinery are grammatically feminine, which may have influenced this decision.
- Omega's speech patterns are notably different. In English its sentences flow pretty naturally for a robot, but in German she often uses sentences in the format of "[purpose of the statement] >> [statement]" including the arrows, which makes her sound more distant and mechanical despite the pronoun use implicitly humanising her more.
- German Nero talks about her like he desperately wants to fuck her (and he doesn't get to see Omega F or M, for the record).
